1996 Camaro LT1 Engine Bay Pictures
Hi all
New member here from Australia.
Strange question.
I have just purchased a Jag with engine/transmission swap from a Z28 Camaro 1996.
I was wondering what the factory engine/bay would look like as I'd be keen to make it look authentic - yeah I know - weird.
I've attached a couple of pics for interest.
Cheers

Here's a guy w/ good photos of a 1995 Camaro engine bay. Not a lot of differences from the 1996:

Thanks for the photos.
Just what I wanted.
Any idea where the engine number is stamped on the block?
I found a number near the oil filter, but it's different to the one on the registration papers.
Cheers

For LT1 info, go to this website.... best source of info on the 'net:
4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech Aids
Photo of engine and transmission serial number locations from that site:

Thanks Fred
Yes that's the number I found.
I've discovered that is a VIN extract to link the engine/trans to the original car.
There is an engine ID number which I've now found which is the one that appears on my registration paperwork.
Attached that one's location if you're interested....

Not weird at all. My step son-in-law did the same swap.
