That is a pretty beefy looking roll cage. How much does that steel tubing weigh per foot? What kind of times is the car it is in running?

edit: After seeing the pic below I now know what kind of times it runs
What times are you planning to get out of it. I'm guessing that 409 in the sig is the planned motor.

What do you expect will be the final weight of your race car?

Any ideas as to the performance? It looks like you are going for a pretty darned fast doorslammer--- 170+ MPH?

Damn! You've got ladder bars in that thing? Thats awesome. Do you have a website with the buildup on it, or at least some other pics?

no that isnt ladder bar set up it is a true custom chromoly 4 link set up. i built the rearend and the bars. we hope the car will weigh about 3100 race weight. it was the first cage i have ever built so i didnt want to use chromoly due to the expense and the possbility of alot of waste metal. this cage will be cut out after this season and will be remade out of chromoly and i will probably change a few things that i dont like after doing my first one. we plan on running very low 8 sec in the 1/4. if we are lucky we may see a high 7 but we arent counting on it.
