Ordered Camaro on FEB 28th
Hello all,
I ordered my camaro on Feb 28th 2009 from Jessup Chevrolet in Palm Spings CA and they havent given me much info on my car. Is this normal for some dealerships. They first told me May 15th delivery date and then I had to call, not them, to get an update and then they changed it to "sometime" in July. They are unable to get event codes to me as well. Once again, is this normal for a dealership to "NOT KNOW" a lot of information?

Sounds kinda odd to me. My dealer was always happy to give me an update and the current event code. I ordered May 1st and already have my car, but my dealer had some free allocations so that can make a difference.
I also ordered from Jessup..I ordered on june 15th. they told me sometimes sept or oct. Which salesman did you go through. Daniel Jessup is a friend. And I actually know a few people who have gotten there camaro already and have nothing but good things to say
I went through a guy named Byron. I talked to Mr. Owen as well and recently sent him an email but the problem is that everytime there is an update, it happens to be me the one calling. Anyway, here is my order number if anyone knows the status. NHWTRR
Well I have contacted many dealerships to get some insight on whats going on. I wrote ANOTHER email to the dealership on June 25th. I received a reply that the car was in EVENT CODE 3000. Not sure home much longer. I probably won't get another update until the car arrives because I am tired of contacting them and they NEVER contact me with updates. So I sit here and wait.....
I've been looking through some posts in which others have posted their event status and dates. It looks like, on average, it has been taking about two to three days to go from 2000 to 3000. On average, four weeks to go from 3000 to 3400. After 3400, it looks like the average is about 1.5 weeks until the car gets shipped. After that, depending on where it's going, one to two weeks in transit.
It seems to be getting faster as time goes by.
