Okay first off you dont compare brand to brand as most brands have realy crappy and good tires.
You compare model to model. Personally, as a brand I prefer michelins, but then again I only deal with this stuff day to day. I also understand that on some vehicles, a michelin isnt the best, Ive had better luck with Pirellis on Gallardos, cheaper to.
On a side note, Michelin has won either 3 or 4 times as many J.D. Power and Associates awards as the rest of the tire manufactures combined. Been quite a while since I read that so I cant remeber exaclty.
Ive heard good things about Vredenstein, especially when it comes to bang for the buck, and they do make a pretty nifty accordian spare for mercedes.
What models are we lookin at comparing and I can give you some info.
