There may be a new lifter option
Surprisingly, a search turned up nothing.
GM HD Lifters used in the Cadillac Racing Program -- these are designed similar to Morels with the lowered oiling hole, and are extremely durable. They're fairly new, but a lot of guys in the LSx world are already using them with great success. I'm trying to verify if they're a drop in assembly for the LTx motors right now, but given that the Comp R's and Morels are already the same PN used for LS and LT motors, I would presume that they are a direct swap.
Just throwing that out as there may be a reliable option than Comp R's for about half of the cost of Morels. I believe Scoggin Dickey has these for about $217 a set right now.

They do fit. They still need the spider in the lifter valvey which I hate but they do work.
These lifters have a ceramic internals rather than the steel parts to lighten them up. They should be more than enough for the limits of the stock ECU in terms of RPM. I had a good discussion with one of GM's racaing engineers about them, they are a pretty kick *** piece.
