Question Please...Help me to decide! 100% cotton or microfiber towels?

Getting ready to Zaino my baby for the first time, zaino site recommends 100% suprima cotton towels made in the USA, other people and sites swear by microfiber towels for detailing, please help me! Your suggestions and opinions are greatly appreciated!

I have used both but have moved to microfiber. Test whatever microfiber towels you plan to use on a clean compact disc and see if they scratch before using.

From my experience?

100 percent WHITE (not colored -- yes, the dye affects absorption until they're well worn) cotton towels - and if you're buying them new, they need to be washed Five times and dried very thoroughly between washings.

Micro-fiber will pick up dust particles (and other such flotsam and jetsam) and this can turn micro-fiber cloths into very fine sandpaper.

Cloth towels, on the other hand, can pick up particles and 'bury' them in the "pile" of the towel.

Nothing is 100 percent scratch-proof-- but I leave micro-fiber cloths for cleaning windows. (they do a great job by the way)

Another thing: If you drop the towel - "PUT IT DOWN AND STEP AWAY FROM THE CAMARO!" -- dropping it will invariably pick up grit from the ground....and I"m amazed at how many times I see people dropping the towel over and over again and still using it!

i used to go through so many towels droppingthem on the ground. once i drop them i wash them and usethem on the interior. never will i use a dropped towel on the outside once it hits the ground.my garage is clean, but not that clean. especially to be using it on a black surface.
