I've actually been making some of these 69 RS inspired covers for my car and my friends' cars. They aren't functional, only covers. I currently only have them set up for use at shows, and they are held on by suction cups to the headlight lenses. I might try using velcro similar to the GTS setup to see how they would work driving with them on.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, unfortunately they are just cosmetic at this point. I can make them look good, but wouldn't even know where to start to make them functional.

Beautiful. I love it. I guess you GM could do something like the '63 Corvette, '69 Charger or Mercury Cougar, where it's just a cover and when you turn them on and they flip into lights. I say GM, because it sounds like it would be expensive and a PITA to do if you didn't have mad money and hook ups like GM. It would definitely be a nice feature for these cars. And as soon as I get my 2011 Camaro 2SS, I'll hit you up for some of these covers. So, if you wanna save some for me for like 5-10 years, that would be great.

look at the old 69 style. shouldnt be too hard to fab up a small motor (like 4th gen firebird),and somehow get them to flip up.

Thanks! I was really excited by how well they came out. Its really cool to hear all of the comments when I have them on at a car show. I think you should get that car now so I can sell some of these and start saving up for my supercharger! hahaha

You're probably right. I'm just trying to avoid doing anything to my car that isn't easily reversible...ie drill holes. It would definitely be neat if someone could figure it out though. I always loved the look of the old 67-69 rallysports.

Not bad. I actually like the "temporary" aspect of them. What are they made of?

Thanks, They are actually made from clear acrylic. I mask them all off, paint them, put tint on the "windows", some trim around the outside edge to avoid scratching the car, and then epoxy suction cups on the back. I have not tried driving with them on yet. I know the suction cups work perfectly for car shows though.
