Does anybody know what the difference is between a red light, and green light on the mirror for Onstar? In my 2010 Camaro, lately the light has been staying red when I start the car. I know my subscription to Onstar is active.

 

If your On Star light is red it may mean that the system is inactive and may need to be serviced. To confirm this you can have the vehicle checked with your dealer or call On Star from your personal phone and see if they can connect to your vehicle to perform a diagnostic check. Chris I had the same problem, my dealership found that my onstar antenna was defective...the dealership will be replacing it for me I also saw in my research that the red light could be due to a dead back up battery for the onstar system. Definitely have it checked out...unfortunately Onstar can't do much for you though, only the dealership.
