HEY BLACKDEVIL YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT (sorry caps lock) your local chevy dealer to see the new callaway camaro's. we got 2 of them. its pretty much the same car (diff. hood/wheels and Im sure some other stuff) but anyways, test drive it. cause i bet the weight and power will be damn near identical. I wish I could test drive one of ours but being in MI were covered in snow. and ofcourse they got them inside in the showroom all nice and clean. I think its $26K option if I remember right.

Hey all, I'm new hear but will definitely be posting around. I'm toying with the idea of a new car, and when I heard about the ZL1, I had to join a community of Camaro guys
I am really loving this car. I had my mind set on a Z06, but the look of this is really making me think twice. I'm not saying I think the ZL1 will out perform a Z06, I know it wont, but it seems like it'll be pretty damn close and a bit more practical for daily use.
There are 2 details I'm waiting on that may make or break this deal for me. One is the weight of the car. The CTS-V has enormous power but is WAAAY to heavy for me to even consider it. The second thing is it's tested 1/4 mile time. My hope is if the CTS-V runs low 12's, that this will tap into the 11's, hopefully touching upon 120mph. I know my hopes may be kind of high, but I think if this thing weighs a good amount less than the CTS-V, and has a little bit more of an aggressive factory tune, I think it'll be able to pull this off.
I have these personal requirments because I currently own a cammed Pontiac G8 GT that is capable of running high 11's with the right tire. The car is a blast to drive, and now that it is time to sell, I don't want a "down-grade." I want to be at the very least at the same level I'm at now, with a factory stock car. And so far I think this car will look VERY VERY good in my driveway

The more I look at the ZL1, the more I gotta have it. Hopefully this time next year I will be upgrading. That car is just BAD!!! (Bad in a good way...lol)
