Not yet. I will now. Sitting and feeling is believing though. pics don't say everything. This is just a peek. I was on the fence about the 2010. SOLID car, same dimensions and feels like a grown up 4th gen in that way. It's really odd (in a good way) how it feels EXACTLY like a 4th gen. I was pleased with that. It seemed to have the same "soul." Handles great but that interior turned me off real quick.
If it (Camaro in general) had a GTO quality interior, I'd be ALL OVER this! Even the Vette guys complain about their interiors. The huge price jump for the 4LT package isn't even worth it to them, so they settle for the 2LT and 3LT package and just upgrade the armrest.

I'm sold on the steering wheel. Looks soft. Could prolly do a swap into a 2010+ Looks better, but we'll see when it arrives. Seats could LOOK nice, but end up rock hard like the 05~ Equinox.
I wonder if We'll get a push-button start at all? (Haven't real ALL specs on this)

Maybe they will still have the Z28...stripped down version. Kind of like the Carbon Series Z06. Carbon fibre with a few goodies. Or the Grandsport Vette with Z06 additions.

Lex Luthor: do you have any IDEA how much power I would have to GIVE UP to become President?
So I guess the name really is the thing. I'm a little disappointed that this isn't a z28, but I also figure that this was the better route to go to hold with heritage, though why they didn't throw a big block in to completely go with the name is probably the only point of contention.
Way to surprise, Cheverolet.

Thoughts on the ZL1...I am not sure about the exterior, not loving it yet. The interior looks a bit nice, I am assuming that this will be similiar to what the whole '12 line will get, minus maybe the suede covered steering wheel. The biggest disappointment is no mention of the A6! Huge mistake GM!!!!! Tons of people were pissed when the Z06 was released back a few years ago in '05 as an '06 model. That is a $75K street legal race car that is a pure performance sports car. GM does not need another type of vehicle like this with no option for an automatic transmission. They will sell like hotcakes but not nearly as well if they offered the A6. Just a dumb, dumb decision on GM's part...and I hope we do not hear excuses from GM like we did with the Z06 release that the A6 could not handle the power and torque! The CTS-V offers the 6L90 A6 and is more than sufficient enough for the power/torque. Yes I know they are different types of vehicles, but nothing night and day when it comes to being able to offer the A6 on the Camaro. Price is going to be another factor here. Above $50K is just plain dumb for GM. Most people will flock to a base C7 Vette which is going to be awesome. I think the SS is looking like a better and better choice, especially if there is some type of HP increase next year and even maybe some type of track pack. The SS with a little more poines and a track handling pack with those magnetic shocks would be awesome! Anyway I think the car overall will be a winner, just wish GM would stop going 98% of the way and finish 100%! I am not complaining because I know not everyone is going to 100% happy, but an A6 option is not really asking all that much!

OK.
- I'm glad it's not called the Z28. Not that I get passionate about that argument, but ZL1 seems more fitting for this car.
- I like the wheels (and the size should be a big help).
- Is the rear spoiler unique, or is it the same one as the 'vert?
- I really think the new interior features and details will be across the line. I bet this car previews the new interior and features. (except the suede steering wheel)
- I don't think I like the front end. It looks a little too industrial. Maybe that's what the designers were going for. I thought the Motor Trend rendering was better.
- Not sure I like the hood. Again, the one on the Motor trend rendering was better.
- I do NOT like the new steering wheel. It looks too generic. Like it can be found in every Chevy, including a Cobalt. And it lost it's deep dish design.
If I buy a '12 or '13 'vert, I hope I can retro-fit the current wheel into it.
Better yet, Chevy should offer both wheels. Car makers used to do that.
So what will the Z28 be? Maybe this car without the supercharged engine and less non-performance equipment?
But in the end, it's good that Chevy has an answer for the GT500.

Great Job GM. I listened to all live webchat and even got my question answered... (see LB question #2 about allocations).
Anyway.. I too want an automatic. I am also very concerned about availability. The answers we got were that it WILL BE MORE AVAILABLE THAN BOSS 302's ARE to the Ford dealers. Tells me if you want one, you CAN get it! So, now the trick is.... CAN anyone here tell me WHAT dealers will get you one 1) with no added markup 2) participate in family first if it is available. Thank you in advance.
Love the car. It is not too "riced" up and functional at all levels (sport or touring). Very nice! Wow. Glad they didnt overemphasize hood, spoilers, etc or botch it up with tons of stripes. Very nice. Quiet confidence. Wow again.

ZL1 is very cool. I wonder what will have the most value years from now? A souped up (and bas ***) original 2010 5th Gen or a first year ZL1? Wish i could have both.
I see camaroZL1.com resolves to camaroz28.com. Well done!
