Exclamation * GM Discounts DO apply to the 2010 Camaro *

To clarify the misconceptions of the GM discounts on the Camaro, I have said that in several dealership training telecasts, The Camaro would be eligible for GM program discounts from day one.

Now, on several forums, other dealers are disputing this. So let me add some clarification from John Fitzpatrick, GM Camaro Marketing Manager:

From John Fitzpatrick, Camaro Marketing Manager:

Yes, the Camaro is eligible for GMS, Supplier, GM Dealership and Military Discounts (among others).

Program guidelines are the bible regarding vehicle eligibility. Unless the vehicle is EXCLUDED (which Camaro is not), then it is eligible for the discount program.

Now with that said, the dealer does have the ability to opt out of any program they choose. So the dealer does have final call on whether they will honor or not.

Also on our Camaro Launch page:

* Is the Camaro going to be offered at G.M.S pricing?

Camaro will be eligible for GMS, Supplier, Dealership Employees, and Military Discount among other corporate discount programs. Please review eligibility requirements to ensure incentive compatibility.

I hope this clarifies the issue for all of you!

And we've said ALL ALONG we'll honor GM's discounts to those who qualify!

Thanks for the clarification.

Any problems using GM Card earnings? I have never used mine on a new Chevrolet, so I was wondering.

Just to clarify, even if the Camaro was ordered by a customer Oct 13th, and produced on March 23 - these are all available for the GM Discount?

Gms pricing

Please direct me to a southern Ca. dealer that has GMS pricing.
Went to one dealership that marks the 6 up 2500 and the SS up $5000.
don't mind waiting for a few months and would place order and deposit now but don't like the "get'm while they are hot" sales approach.
His prices might come down when the new wears off. He only has one car so far and the 2 that he has ordered do not have everything that I want on it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

You don't have to buy locally. Find a dealer online that will sell for what you want **cough, cough... www.camaroscotty.com...** cough. Have a local dealer accept a courtesy delivery for around $250 or so and there you go.

I probably shouldn't link to a dealership, but he's earned it with what he's given us as far as inside info and what not.

Scotty please help me understand something. What does a dealer lose if they honor a GM sponsored discount? Can they take and claim that discount even if they do not pass it on to the customer?

Does GM discount the dealer cost of the car by the amount of the discount offered?

I am all for a dealer making money, but if they have nothing to lose in the process, why would they not honor it, especially for the dealers that are selling at MSRP. They still maintain the same margin on the car, do they not?

If you can, please help me become a more informed consumer.

Scotty, can we order one through you and have it shipped to Texas? PM to discuss if you would.

My dealer told me there is a limit on how much you can use. I think he said it was something like $1000.
