Well then this thing is gonna run sub 4's 0-60 then, at least they cured the biggest mistake the Gt500 had, putting the power down. This thing should rip pretty hard.

I drove the CTS-V Coupe a couple weeks ago, and while it was fast I'd really like to see this be faster. I agree with your estimate, but I worry that it being 200lbs lighter than the V won't make for too much of a difference. I wonder if the suspension is that much different.

edit: I should clarify that this car will be awesome none the less. The idea of manual ONLY will really set an image for this car.

 

Nah, I don't know. One thing to remember, mules are used to test various things. For that car, they might have been testing HVAC or something unrelated to powertrain/drivetrain. Or, they originally wanted to build a case for the A6 to be an option and did some initial driveability testing or something similar before the idea was decided to not be implemented.

The biggest problem with mules and spy shots and all that is people assume that what is on it is exactly what will arrive in the dealerships (remember the black mirrors on the white car, or the test mule headlights?). Not always so. There are so many things that can change right up to start of production. Sometimes, even the entire car gets canceled. It has happened.

 

It's like Alcantara you find from Porsche, Lambo, and the likes. If you've ever driven w/this it's a blessing.

 

Any way you look at it, the ZL1 looks to be an exciting car like none other. Come about 2016, start scanning Ebay and Camaroz28.com classifieds for what should become one of the greatest collectibles in Camaro history.
