Don't need Onstar. DO need T-tops. My last three F-bods had T-tops.

Yeah... I think t-tops should be left in the past with all the mullets blowin in the wind.
Just not the image that needs encouraged with this hot of a car IMO.
We want the domestics to SURVIVE and sell.. not be stuck in the past like the new Challenger.
This car has a hint of the best camaros ever, with tons of new millenium style that makes it look like a metal wolf ready to devour everything else on the road.

OnStar is great, a GM exclusive baby! I want my emails from GM after they find strange readings from my supercharger

I really don't get the match between T-tops and mullets. I don't believe every person with T-tops had one. Plus, why ask for there NOT to be an option on something that someone else might enjoy?

I wouldn't mind Onstar as well, but sounds pretty pricey, for this long-haired dude.

Well its the design of the car (which I would NOT want changed, esp for t-tops).. considering this appears to the be hottest, meanest looking and probably going to be the best quality Camaro ever produced.. a tall order but its looking like it!

I know women that consider ALL camaros "dirtball cars".. thats the kind of dirty hick american image that the car has to fight.
The new car could not have done any better at blowing peoples minds.

This car is going to be on FIRE with the young guys like myself (24) and will sell like no other Camaro ever has. I promise that if they dont change the design.
And the true Camaro fans from back in the day? They see the 1960s Camaro spirit with a truley smoking design.

Makes the Challenger and Moostang look like jellybeans on the road.

The 1st round knocked out challenger is extremely bland, if I wanted a 1970 Challenger wouldnt I just buy one thats metal instead of plastic?? And Rustang? Oh Sweet Jesus just deliver me now
When I turn into a woman I'll drive one of those.

edit to add-
"Because there's no such thing as a "classic" Camry and no one ever wrote a song about a Toyota."

LOL your sig cracked me up. Im seeing Kenny Chesney tomorrow night in town, I work at John Deere and Im gonna represent another true American product when he sings "She Thinks My Tractors Sexy" and wave my JD flag. :P
I have the spirit of the mullet of old inside me.. (just leave the actual mullet-factor off my new 2009 Camaro!)

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

.
Most women Ive known arent really into cars too much. To me its not whats old so much as what works. If T-Tops could be worked in with roll down 1/4 windows without adding a ton to the car as an option God Bless. Also if added with optional B Pillar too as a package fine. I dont like the idea of having to get out of the car and use up trunk space. Thats me personally. I would like the roll down rear 1/4 windows...

Its pretty bad when even camaro guys consider the older cars mullet mobiles that definitely doesnt help the stigma of future camaros REGARDLESS of what kind of roof it has. Ive never even heard of a connection between mullets and t-tops until i read this thread.

GM just looooooves to disappoint.

I would get a 5th gen in a hardtop anyway... but other people still want t-tops. A hatchback version of the 5th gen with t-tops looks very good IMO.

If you had to distill one feature of Fbods that made them mullet mobiles you could make a case for it being T-Tops. But who really gives a ****?

With the quality improvements GM has been making and this car being a pretty radical departure from the Fbods of recent memory 3rd and 4th, not to many people are gonna be thinking Smokey and the Bandit when they see it, drive it whatever.

If their is no T-Top available then there needs to be a targa option. Not everyone wants a convertible.

I thought as of the 2007 model year, all chevy's come with onstar...if I'm not mistaken (wouldn't be the first time).

I had a '77 trans am...with t-tops and a mullet...and no I won't be ordering my camaro with them (and no, I don't still have the mullet).

Whats wrong with Smokey and the Bandit? That was 2nd gen anyways (third movie don't count, no Bandit in it).

I think its rediculous to relate a car to being redneck by 1 feature. The third gen as a whole is "redneckish" because alotta people drive em around all trashed to hell and back, they break all the time, parts are dirt cheap and the overall look says trailer trash. 4th gen on the other hand is sleeker and sexier and only the ignorant carry that image over, especially to the 98+ vehicles. Saying that the car is mullet material because of ttops is really stupid imo and has no merit.

I agree 100%. In the last, I don't know how many years, I've seen lots of TTops Camaros and Firebirds, and not a single mullet in site. Maybe back in the late 80's/early 90's when mullet's were popular, but not since then. Again, why would the popularity of a hairstyle be mated to an option on a car?

And I also agree, why not have an OPTION for something many people may want? If one person doesn't like it DON'T GET IT... That's why they call it an 'option'.

I'm indifferent to Onstar. I know you get it for a certain amount of time free, but after that I'd never pay to keep it. So I'd pefer not having it in the first place.
