Hi and hope everyones week is starting out great. I have a question regaurding the Bumble Bee Camaro(s) that you can win on the Chevy website. Are these the exact Camaros from the movie, like set cars with the GTO chassis and interior? Or are they going to be a new production Camaro painted up like the Bumble Bee prop cars from Transformers? Any news/comments/info regaurding this topic would be great-rob

 

They are production replica's , these arent the actual movie cars .

 

You wouldn't want the movie car anyway, as they were just GTO's with Camaro bodies on top.

 

The movie cars wouldn't be street legal either.

They most likely will be 2010 model early production runs.

It will be interesting to see what paint they put on the 3 production Bumblebee's. The paint used for the movie cars was very expensive and made to look great under lots of lighting conditions of movie sets. Not that GM couldn't afford to put $10k custom paint jobs on the 3 cars but I doubt that kind of paint will be offered on the other production Camaro's.

 

Actually, they WILL be custom painted in the Bumblebee paint!

 

I just hope there's a nice yellow so I can som stripes on it and get close to Bee at least
