Why is the shark antenna in front of the third brake light?

Until the 2011 Camaros hit the street or we can see a complete order sheet we really do not know if other changes were made.

Good point. Maybe the brake light should be incorporated into the rear lip spoiler?

I can't see it not being incorporated with the blade spoiler on the convertible.

They should do this as it would look alot better. Like the C6 has for it's third brake light. The separate third brake light with a shark fin right in it's path almost seems to be like the reverse lights being placed in the middle of the bumper. I know it had to do with government regulations about certain bumper standards...
Who keeps making these dumb design/engineering decisions?

"Not true"

The display which you see is not projected from the windshield. It uses the windshield as a reflective surface to bouce the image from the back side of the gauge cluster. All you need is the dash cover and cluster that is equiped with H.U.D. and a weekend time to install it. Direct bolt on...however your skill level has to be 9-10 out of 10. After you change it take it to a certified mechanic to transfer the data (mileage).

FenwickHockey65, is refering to the fact that when they install a HUD unit, they also install a special windshield that has an optically flat area to better reflect the image. Anyway that's what they do on the Vette. As I pointed out, Vette owners who have upgraded they car with a HUD have not had to install the "special" windshield.

It's actually a matter of sharp edges in the resulting projection legibility.

The best image is produced when a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) laminate is added between the glass surfaces of the windshield.

The clarity goes down when projecting on a non-hud windshield. That doesn't suggest it isn't usable, but it does suggests it's not optimal.

It's a matter of crispness of the image projected and the distance it's focused to be the most sharp..

HUD is very nice on a vehicle, particularly if you can select the most important info you wish to see with ease.

That would seem to contradict the rumored reason as to why GM is holding off the Z28 until MY 2012 to not take the attention away from the convertible in 2011. Keep in mind this "list" is probably what will be available at the start of MY 2011 production. The convertible won't be available until next spring so if it is MY 2011, we might see an updated list come next January.

HUD (option UV6) has it's own unique windshields:

So if I read this correctly, I wait one more month to order and I get a 2011? Seems like I'll just hold out then. I've wanted the HUD from day one, kinda glad I wasn't ready to buy in January now...

Hopefully the colour I want doesn't get cut...
