2012 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 – 6.2L Supercharged Monster Rendered into Reality

I wasn't a fan of the Transformers 2 car, I thought it looked very tacky, so I probably won't like the actual car either. Not that it matters.

BTW...we talked about this in CamaroZ28.Com Podcast #257. Have a listen and tell me if you agree with what we had to say about it.

I know that, I guess I was saying maybe it'd look better if it was more representative of the actual car than just photoshopping a front end on it. If anything it reiterates how undertired the current SS is. No need for the insults.

Regarding the "tackyness" of the Transformer car, keep in mind it wasn't an actual production Z28. It had early fiberglass add ons, but the design is pretty much an entirely undisguised Z28.
There's been some "finishing" and details done since the Bumblebee car. But if you've collectively seen the Chroma, Hennessy, Cobalt Blue, and to a degree the Jay Leno Camaro concepts, there really isn't much left to see of the Z28.
Inside, outside, or even underhood.
It's called "Hiding in plan sight".
Someone got it!

speaking of the jay leno camaro, this may be old news, but i heard that there concidering a v6 twin turbo for the vette c7 which could eventually make it to the camaro. so if thats true, it seems like the leno camaro has alot of parts on it that will be used in futre vehicles.

this was reported in a corvette magazine.ill have to see if my dad has it still. the 5.5 DI motor is the prototype motor in the c6.r. that , im guessing, will be the new motor for the c7. possibly the v6 tt as a z06 motor? the 5.5 will be pushing around 450hp and the tt v6 could get more than that.

As for any variety of V6 going in Corvette, I am definitely not a fan.

Speaking of hiding in plain sight , I think the Leno Camaro is probably the closest to the real deal . Especially given that bumblebee now wears the Leno front bumper cover . Which is much more tasteful looking than the last bumblebee cover , that looked way to forced . It just looked bad . Just get the wheel design right and it wil look pretty damn cool . With a few exceptions , GM still fails at designing cool wheels imo It would be great if the Dusk concept's small lower lip shows up on the regular SS too in '12 , it looked perfect on the car with the mesh BBS wheels .

why are they using a 5.5 in the c6.r now then? they got the 7.0 z06 motor from the c6.r. and its been rumored for a while now that the vette is downsizing and that it will be getting a smaller motor with more power.
