370Z vs RS,

370Z vs RS,
Ok, so lets see here;
I can buy a 2 seat, 330 hp 370Z
http://www.revmods.com/2009-nissan-3...ficial-images/ for probably 30k.
Or, I can buy a 2+2, 300 hp RS, for 23k?
Now, if GM would offer a comparable "track pak" option, that'd be (in the words of Napolean Dynamite) "Flippin Sweet"

I like it too. On the camaro, the biggest drawback for me has been the interior (and that I'll have to wait for hud). I've been wanting a nice modern interior since my car will be my second home with these So Cal Freeways. The 370z is supposed to debut at the LA Auto Show in a few weeks, along with the 2010 mustang (for which i could care less). At this point I'm deciding between the 370z, G37, Camaro, or C6. I can't wait for the show when I'll get to compare all of them.

I would expect that the 370Z coming in at the weight of the 350Z or possibly lighter will put a serious *** whoopin down on the V6 Camaro. Depending on how light they can make it it'll probably not be all that far behind the SS...

The 370Z is supposed to weigh a quarter ton less than the Camaro RS for what that's worth (a lot in the performance department if that is a priority for you).
edit: looks like Ray and I posted at the same time and said the same thing, heh.

FWIW - The $24K 2-door Cobalt SS turbo will spank the literal crap out of a V6 Camaro as well in accelation and handling .

Kind of an odd comparo. Really the only things both cars have in common is 2 doors, 6-speeds and a front engine V6 driving the rear wheels. Class, Price, performance and seating capacity will see to it that these cars are never in direct competiton.

Even if it does, at what cost? Will be interesting. Its a pretty car that looks more 911 esque. Interiors nice, gauges are too high in the center dash. cool wheels and looks almost like a shark with vampire fangs in the grille opening. Would be a much cooler car with a LS3 in it though...

We also don't know base pricing on the 370z but you can probably make the assumption that it'll cost a good chunk more than the camaro v6's 23k. Same reasoning.
The camaro's weight is what it is. Some cars will be heavier, others lighter. I think most of us will have to get used to it being heavier than many of the cars we might compare it to.
