Differentiated as you and others pointed out in this thread. Those differences doesnt mean that we including you as you mentioned cant cross shop them within the same company. Also because we cross shop them that doesnt make one or the other irrelevant as they are differentiated enough.

This isnt directed at any one person, but I get a kick out of people telling other people that noone is going to cross shop two vehicles because of their perspective of what OTHER people are ALLOWED to cross shop. The most irritating one was when I started a thread that my brother WAS cross shoping the G8 and 335i. The thread was pepered that BMW owners were yuppies with no regaurd for how much money they spent. That someone considering a G8 couldnt possibly afford BMW and therefore it shouldnt have been a poll. All of the posts either ignored or didnt believe that the thread started with my brother actually considering and still considering both.

I could be wrong but I think he was saying that for him personally hes looking for a 2dr Camaro type car and therefore wouldnt even consider the sedan

I was looking at a G8 and a BMW 335i. I chose the BMW but it was a hard choice for me. I will be in the market for another "Toy" car in a year or 2. If I didnt have the 335i sedan I would be cross shopping a G8 GXP and Camaro. But I have a sporty sedan for every day. Ill be going with the Camaro or maybe the BMW Z4 Coupe if it gets the same TT I6 that the 335i has.(its a rumor)

I was also looking at the 335i in Sedan and Coupe form. The Better price and added utility of the Sedan is why I chose 4 doors over 2.

+1

especially since the cost of about $150 a year is too steep of a price to pay when it comes to regular vs. premium.

My question is Camaro or CTS Coupe.

I'm thinking that given the equipment level the price difference might not be so great here. (edit: for the V6 that is)

Yeah I think the 335i sedan will be what my brother opts for eventually for many reasons you mentioned. Other determining factors probably will be 3 series size and performance. I think BMW reliability from what Ive heard falls short tho. Its the G8 performance, LS reliability, and perceived build quality that put it in the running.

More important things have come up though like he just got married. Well see.
