5th Gen Must Have...

...Seatbelts integrated into the front seatbacks, so you can get to the rear seats without climbing over belts...

Re: 5th Gen Must Have...

I had thought about that, too, and I think it's a good idea. That's one of my main gripes about the Mustangs, seems like you have to have a really long arm and stretch around to grab the seatbelt.

I was also thinking, what are those seatbelts, don't know how to describe them and seems like the Mazda RX-8 had, recaro?, anyway they looked like they crisscrossed. Probably didn't, but reminded me of the letter X, kind of sport looking, like you might see in a race car. Anybody know anything about them? Good funcionality?

Zero interference between the motor and cowl area... I want to bolt on a SCREWCHARGER!!!!!!!!!!

Large rear wheel wells for even wider tires out back. Gonna need it to hook-up all that Screwcharger tourqe!

And, for the love of god... make the IRS STOUT!!

Re: 5th Gen Must Have...

The crucially important V6 model needs a few electronic gee gaws
to attract the masses I think. I.E. optional ipod dock, dvd nav, remote start. . .etc.

That would satisfy people looking for a sporty, content rich coupe without a big V8.
A modern day secretary's car ala the '64 mustang to augment sales. . .

Re: 5th Gen Must Have...

I think that not only Camaro, but all of GM cars, need to offer more options for the lesser engines. I have seen countless Accords and Camry's with 4cyls and leather seats. I dont think you can get leather with the 4cyl Malibu or G6. Its almost like you are stuck with cheapness if you go for the lower end engine.
Just cause the V6 makes less power, and will start at a lower price, doesnt mean that there shouldnt be an option for leather seating, 6cd XM radio, and other options. People who want a V6 might not want the power, but they sure as hell want the option to make there car as high end as possible.

BINGO! Our nephew bought a 4 cyl Accord coupe. I asked what else he looked at and why he choose the Accord. The G6 was in the running, but had to be the V6 model to get the equipment he wanted. 4 cyl for fuel economy was a non-negotiable for him.

I like the idea of the belts too , IF...they could be that neatly integrated into the seat like the concept . I wouldnt want a thick bulky seatback because of it .

Yep, the V6 Camaro needs to be had w/leather and all the gadgets, and it can't look stripped down.

HID's--
Excellent night-vision, and make modern day cars look modern-- to me, they're a must-have option, even if only on the Z/28 -- which will be mine.

KEEP THE STYLING TRUE TO CONCEPT--

Don't bland-out this gorgeous car-- inside or out.
Obvious revisions to the interior are expected-- AKA no billett Alum or flashy lighting-- but keep the look-- it's a home-run!

Displacement-on-Demand--
Excellent technology, bragging rights, and there's absolutely no excuse not to offer it... especially with the gas prices causing concern with modern events and all...

I have a lot more things I'd like to see, but I'll leave it at that and let everyone else continue the list...

I would love to see some 315 or 305 "tars" out back at least.

Not the most exciting input here - but I'd like to see the cloth seats be a little more durable this time.

You hit the nail on the head. My Nissan Altima is a company car. . . I am the only driver, but legally it's my company's. I would have bought GM. Having said that however, the Altima is a very nice car and has surprised me in many areas. I have the 4cyl version of the Altima, but you can have a very nice interior w/ sunroof and basically all the options of the big 6cyl. One thing that really amazed me was the base cd/radio in the Altima. . .it actually sounds pretty darn good. And that's a good thing, because I'm not about to drop money on a sound system into a car that isn't mine. It seems like if you buy a GM vehicle the stereo is always subpar, and you have to do some sort of upgrade. Anyway, the Nissan isn't without it's flaws, but I can see why people buy Accords, Camrys, and Altimas over G6s and Malibus. I will say that I think GM and even Ford are on their way to understanding this though, and the interior quality in their vehicles is improving. Let's hope they do offer the luxury features and ammenities of the big engine models in the V6. . . Possibly an RS!

Also, I like the seatbelt in the seat idea, several GM cars already have this feature. It would be that much easier to get in the back, or even just to put stuff back there or get it out. It looks much CLEANER, and I'm sure the press would note it in their reviews as being a nice touch.
