Really, there aren't any cars with factory wings/spoilers these days that don't fit that description, it's not just GM. I can't think of a single later model car that i like the factory wing/spoiler on. The thirdgen lip spoiler might have been the last tastefully done design in the history of the automobile.

I'll go even further.... Eventhough we haven't seen the final product, I'll go way out on a limb and say...... that we should also have a choice of colors.

I just shelled out $400 to make my GTO trunk lid "un-holy" so I would, of course, have to agree. I think they got it all screwed up on GTO; make the wing optional instead of the hood scoops.

Re: 5th gen spoiler delete......
I like ground effects (and wings) if done correctly. At one point in my life, I made my 86 IROC look like a 91 Z28. Although I still like the look of the 91 - 92 Z28 ground effects (wing and all), these days I prefer the 88 - 90 IROC look. I'm considering reversing the conversion on my 3rd gen.
I think the wing on my 01 SS looks correct for the car (much better than the standard Z28 wing and better than the appearance package wing on my Z28 convertible.)
As long as it looks like it belongs there, I'll probably be ok with it.

What I would like to see offered on all cars and trucks is an "emblems, stripes, decals trim delete option". Keep the car clean. I remember Dodge did this for the Ram one year (sticker only) and took $12.00 off the price of the truck.

I would FOR SURE, 100%, take advantage of it's spoiler delete option.

Speaking of rear ends... now how many guys would like like to look at a sexy rear end with some kind of distraction there?

Re: 5th gen spoiler delete......
I like the spoiler on the GTO, the Monte, and most other cars that have spoilers. I don't like the spoilers on the Cobalt SS, Mitsubishi Evo, WRX STI (I do like the regular WRX), or SRT-4.
I agree that the best spoiler designs are built into the design of the body, like the 4th-gen Camaro.
There are some cars that look worse without spoilers, though. The 92-97 Achieva and 92-99 Bonneville are good examples.
I thought the first-gen Camaro had a great spoiler. Since the 5th-gen car is "retro," whatever that really means, I'm likely to feel the same way.
