5th gen too flashy???

Forgive me if that's a noob q., I have to ask because I'm seriously considering the '09 Cam as an everday means of transportation. That said, I don't want something that's going to be attracting a whole lot of attention, I like a car that looks and goes and keeps a smile on my face all the while. I don't want a car that's going to become the local sheriffs "best freind", I like to be "under the rardar" as much as possible, dont' want to get sh** from cops just for driving a muscle car.

Don't worry, GM will offer you a car with some very stealthy paint colors. Just order your car in a metallic silver, brown, or something like that, and you wont draw any notice once the model starts getting seen around here and there.

Paint goes a long way in keeping a low profile.

I refuse. The Pontiac "G8" sounds appealing though.

Color choice is most definately key, I agree. My current car is silver, I've managed to speed through parts of town past cops without them really noticing until the last min when I'm just a bit too far down the road for them to really cat ch up (but neither is my car a low slung two door coupe, it's a four door european sports sedan). I will always buy a silver car, so hopefully that works.

Polo Green is a good one too, especially here where the dominant colour is green (Or red because of a pine beetle infestation). Red is a bold colour and is the first colour that the human eye sees so any shade thereof will definitely draw attention.

Do you live in Hazard County in a moonshinin' ***-backwards small town owned by Boss Hogg? If you do then yeah, maybe a Green Mailbu is a abtter choice. I've never been hassled in my bright blue C5 which isn't exactly quiet or inconspicuous. Just take care not to attract unwanted attention.

IMHO, the 5th gen could be a whole lot more flashy/aggressive looking...It looks pretty mellow to me

When I buy mine, it'll be competition yellow & black. If it isn't, I may just end up taking it in to make it so.
