For now, M6. I have plenty of time to change it.

Well...I am trying to order but my local dealer can't figure out how to do the order. He is saying when he goes into the vehicle ordering system it tells him they don't have any info on this vehicle yet or something like that.

Those of you that sucessfully ordered, what exactly did they do for you? Get out a scratch pad and take your info or did they actually load it into a system somewhere?

Was anyone required to put down a deposit, and if so, how much?

Well, I was first to order at my local dealer who said they'd meet MSRP!!! I got a call an hour ago saying the general manager changed his mind and is asking $6000 over MSRP. (answer to above post- I paid $1000 but I have another dealer already lined up for $500).

That makes me the first to cancel their Camaro order

Exactly what I would be ordering... I can't order until Thursday at the earliest, but honestly, I want to drive before I buy.

I'd like to hear info about a "ride and drive" event by Chevy at local dealerships so that people that have ordered the cars can sit in them and go for a spin in case they want to tweak their order prior to build.

I need to see the colors on the cars in real life before deciding. So I'll be waiting until they're on the lot. Plus I'm betting I can get one for under MSRP once the excitement dies down.

I'm leaning the same direction. I know I want a 2SS, M6 with the RS package and stripes. Since metallic blue isn't available, I'm not really married to any color in particular.

Besides, my wife wants a new kitchen floor and is making me sell two of my current Camaros before she'll allow me to take delivery on a new one. She hasn't put the kibosh on ordering one now, its just that waiting may give me some leverage.

I am ordering mine in a year or so. I couldn't wait any longer and had to buy another car, Chevy took too long. I don't think its a good idea to buy 3 brand new cars and spend a new cars worth of money on an old one in just over a year. So, hopefully there will be a Z28 by then.
