Anyone else notice the new wheels on the Bumble Bee?

Boys I think we just got the first glimps of some of the Z/28 styling.
The front lip looks production and would add to front down force at high speeds. The scoope would clear a supercharged engine with ease. and the wheels are wither Z/28 or SPO since they have been shown on several cars.
Keep in mind the Z/28 will be an over the top car in performance. It will be to the Camaro what the ZR-1 is to the Vette.

I would be shocked if it was influenced by the Z/28s styling.

Scott made it clear they were using the two original movie cars in the 2nd movie and it looks as they were updated even more than we had though.
Well prepared to be shocked!
Here is what is reported to be a Corvette XR1 prototype [C7 Show car?]
GM is not fooling around with this movie!
I would be willing bet a Volt Concpet might even make the act this time as a late entry.

Bud read all thew words "a Glimps of the Z/28 stylng" Where did I say it was not a GTO based show car that I stated it was on page one.

Question (part2): Remember how freaked out GM got over the photos of the early version of the Camaro concept getting leaked to the press? Why aren't they freaked out about these Transformer 2 movie-car photos getting leaked if they are in fact prototypes and preproduction samples?

Question (part1): Why would GM give prototypes and preproduction samples to a movie studio, when they know well that photos typically get leaked and they'll have no control of how said prototype and preproduction information gets distributed?

#1 Promotion baby promotion! Car companies get few chances for product placemnt this good and you have to take it when it comes along. Second GM has peple with these cars on set so it is not like they unwatched or garded. If they were there would have been nothing left of the two Camaro's from the first movie.
Also GM has a lot to say in how they are used or portrayed. They are not stupied. These cars are cared for more than some child actors.
#2 The Camaro is know and this is not a preproduction car. It is a Camaro with parts that may very well be used on the Z/28 or SPO parts. By tyhe time this movie is out the Z/28 we should have a very good clue of what it looks like by then. IF they just used the old car in a movie that is a year or more out it would look plain by then when the real Z/28 is know.
Get a grip this car is most likley a GLIMPS [again I never said production or preproduction] of what the Z/28 may have!
The hood would cover a supercharged engine very well with the scoop making for a good inductrion. Also the splitter is a good downforce aide for a car with a lot of power at high end. The ZR-1 is using one very similar.
The Wheels may be a inch or two bigger to fill the wheel wells up but since this style was used before it is a good bet they will show up in a 21 or 22 inch size somwhere and I would bet it won't be on a SS since they are testing smaller spoked wheels.
You need to understand the Camaro is not a big seceret anymore and they were upset with the original photo release as they wanted a big impact. A Z/28 is important but will not have the impact of the original prototype as we all know what the Camaro is going to look like. The Z/28 is more important under the skin as the mechanical bits are what will be the biggest change.
On the XR1 I would say it is just a show car and it hints of the future of the C7 but that could all change with the new CAFE. It has a little over the top styling but may have keys to where they ar looking to go.

I still stand by my statement that they have no relationship. I may be wrong, but I seriously would be surprised.

Well your first statment about me thinking the wheels were different was
"Don't know. They look basically the same to me..."
Well they were different.
So is it really anything to argue about?
As fopr Transformers 2 few know they are already filming let alone know GM is playing a big part. Only a few automotive web sites and Transformer fan sites know.
To take advantage of a big movie you have to open things up a little and do it a year or so in advance as it takes time to make movies just as cars. Movie plots are protected as much or more than new cars. That is why we only get a few unclear shots like we do.
If it was shot here it would be on the back side of Milford or some high road in Colorado Springs with a zebra kit on.
