A pretty good read, but I think he's exaggerating its effect. The traditional mags will still have a place in the internet age, maybe just not for breaking news or spy photos (but of course all of us here have known that for a while). Magazine are still more portable, long-lasting, and easier to read than internet articles. I personally have every Car and Driver issue since the mid-80s and love to go through them every once in a while as a kind of time machine. And I still look forward to the news ones arriving in my mailbox.

Yes, the best read IMHO are the mags which post results of sensible tuning and performance mods. The above mags are a fantastic read and will continue to be so ... so long as GM continue to look after the aftermarket.

The days of monthly mags breaking news/world scoops are gone. Says he who has every Aussie car mag since Jan 83... only to stop buying last year.
