Re: Automobilemag.com now has pix and story...
Gray looks 110% better than the dark red for showing off the body lines..
While I was hoping for something a little more smoothed out, modern, with "cues" from past gens, my major b!tch is still that gaping grille that looks more at home on a early '90's S10.
Maybe it would help if the grille was Black and not gray, as well as the door handles and gills, gray just looks " cheap".

WHY DIDNT THEY SAY SO SOONER?
Silver + angry picture > red + boring picture.
NOW, I want one, so much so that it has me questioning a color change to silver too

The only thing I would say I am not fond of, at least without seeing it in person, is the rear spoiler. I would prefer to see it full length with regards to the rear end. Whether they did it as a 3 piece spoiler, or one with an overhang to cover the rear quarter would be fine with me.

I am pretty sure that the top pic is not a real picture, it is a rendering. The most interesting part of the car is the rear 1/4 of the car.
Anyone notice the gas filler cap on the top of the rear fender? I'm not down with that.

I like the placemen because it makes the filler neck shorter, since the gas tank is located behind the rear axle assembly, and does not intrude on the rear passenger compartment. PLUS, I think it looks kind of racy.

It is harder to get to though and I can imagine more scratches on the paint, not to mention the gas spilling or dripping on the paint.

Better than I was being led to believe, but....all those creases makes me think Cadillac more than Chevy. And please don't put the auxilary guages down there.
Still too bulky and backwards for my tastes initially......

Re: Automobilemag.com now has pix and story...
well this is the first that i've stumbled across the official pictures and my opinion is not a good one. ever since i could drive a car i've owned nothing but fbodys....2 camaros and my current trans am. i was really holding out hope for the 09 camaro but i think it looks hideous. when lutz took over development in gm i had high hopes for the company but the only thing that i have liked since 02 is the vette and the cts. everything else either looks terrible or is a fwd underpowered barge. i just can't understand how gm has lost their way so badly. i really thought this camaro could have been a giant step in the right direction but in my opinon they just put the second foot in the grave....
