Yeah, but the Corvette takes that job. I see this car having a limited effect on the brand.

We had a party tonite for my wife, it's her birthday. I showed both the Camaro pic and the Challenger pic. Out of the 10 people that were here, 7 liked the Challenger over the Camaro. The ones that liked the Challenger thought the Camaro reminded them of a Mustang.

I think it will be interesting in the next few weeks once the Camaro and Challenger are officially revealed to the public.

The Camaro being built will hinge on the publics reaction to it.

I Personally like it, but I also like the Challenger better. The new Camaro reminds to much of the 99 GTO Concept. Put both those cars together and you will see a lot of similarities.

I agree completely, that 'trickle down' effect is really important. My point was that even though the Camaro fills a huge void between the 'Vette and Cobalt SS, I don't think it'll be a huge image polisher for GM (again, because they already had the Corvette).

showing pictures is one thing, but an actual car, that's another..

there will be such a dramatic size difference between the Camaro and Challenger concepts, .. even with it's styling.. i can see some people being turned off by just how big the challenger is

i've shown the picture to My mom and dad, both love it.. i didnt tell my dad what it was, and showed him the picture.. his first words.. "is that the new camaro!".. he is by no means a car enthusiest.. my mom liked it too, though she said she liked the sleekness of the 4th gen better.. but she still liked it.. they own a Malibu Maxx

also showed it to my friend and his wife, both 23.. both liked it, the wife said Chevy was copying the Mustang, but she liked it.. .. the husband also said his first thought was that it was similar to the mustang, but upon reflection, he liked it better than the mustang.. neither are car enthusiests, at all.. they own a Camry

My neices boyfriend said it was, and i quote, "effin' sweet" .... he's 25, not a car guy, drives a mid 90s Hyundai

The front end looks badass, the rear end is ugly. Interior looks good.

I don't think the side mirrors will make it to production.

The interior is the only thing that bugs me about the concept. I want a modern interior with easy to read gauges.
