Pardon my biases against unions but Buzz Hargrove needs to get his head out of his... -cough- He's nothing but a muckraker, just like every union leader I've EVER met, more interested in his own paycheque than the individual worker... (No offense if anyone falls into this gross generalization...) I have no doubt that GM has plans for other vehicles at the plant, since it IS A FLEX PLANT; there'd have been no point in making it that if there were no intentions to utilize that ability.

This is certainly the other side of the Zeta and CAFE issue. I don't know if GM has an answer to this yet. Back in 2006 when they gave the Camaro the green light and put production of it and probable other Zeta models, Impala, Buick etc. in the Oshawa plant there were no CAFE issues. We've all heard Bob Lutz say the RWD Zeta Impala was on hold and then the Northstar engine replacement was also shelved so CAFE is real. Just as many people on this site have been speculating for some time the lack of announcement of fellow Zeta cars at Oshawa is a bit concerning. Now we see that it's also a issue for the CAW.
A strike is certainly not good for the Camaro and our timeline.

Typical sabre rattling. Goes on with any large company that has a union represented workforce when contracts are up for negotiation. The least of my worries is the CAW President posturing to the press.
I think it's too late in the game for GM to consider moving Camaro, but who knows. GM can't afford to run a plant at low capacity. It'd be Ste Therese all over again. Plans will have to change. It's just too soon for GM to have them solidified yet.

Keep in mind when contracts are up for plants many times GM will not anounce new lines for those plants untill they get an agreement. GM has to have some bargining chips.
This is a common part of nealing with the union. You give us what we want and we give you a line of cars to being work to your plants.
