Sheesh...Camaro already has enough of a mullet stigma to fight....

Only thing I would dare do to the concept roofline is lose it alltogether.........

Yeah I like the hardtop/fastback design better. As much as several here are slamming retro, I want the car to get back to it's firstgen roots. Back to when the Camaro was unarguably one of the sweetest cars on the road... The original concept does that but then has even more of a sweet fastback look, it's darn near perfect IMO, screw T-tops...

Now there is some 3rd gen in it. The problem is, it doesn't belong as a whole. Get rid of the black t-top area and it might look better. I would dial back the wraparound glass too.

Not a bad photoshop idea... But I don't think it flows with the rest of the car AT ALL.

I think the wraparound hatch glass is a must to make the T-Tops look right. And I think it does work with the lines of the car - see how the angle of the door cut line is echoed in the cut line between the rear of the side glass and the B-pillar? As it is, there's a lot of 3rd gen in the mid section of the concept (from the bottom of the greenhouse on down) The wraparound hatch and T-Tops acentuate that - and the forward canted B-Pillar a-la 4th gen mirrors the cutline of the door, whereas an upright 3rd gen B-Pillar WOULD look out of place I think.

Of course, as you can tell by my handle, I'm biased - I bought the car for the T-Tops - all the rest (worldbeating performance, 29mpg on the highway, slick looks) was a nice bonus.

It makes me think of that Trans Am with the camper shell-looking hatch.
