I'm getting the uneasy feeling that T-Tops are to Camaro as Pop Up Headlights are to Corvette.

I like them both and consider them an essential design cue. And I can probably get a number of loyalists on a message board to bitch and moan about their loss with me (anyone here read Corvetteforum when the C6 was on the way?) But when all is said and done, I fear that they both are lost.

I agree that the hatch as posted doesn't quite work yet. But I think if you tweak the shape it could be pretty cool (as I said in the other thread).

a camaro without t-tops is just not very special. i'm iffy on exactly how this one looks, but owning a 3rd gen myself, it does incorporate 2 of its best features: t-tops and hatchback. the tops give it fun, and the hatchback give it function. that hatch gives the camaro some real cargo room. i can fit some bigger, longer stuff in that car than many a passenger car. it's also perfect for a some pounding subs. if they can make these things work, then that would truly be my dream car.

You made the Camaro concept look like a 1987 Mitsu Starion:

Sweet! Thats fine by me. I'd really like to see a re-do of a 1989 Camaro, 84 300ZX, or 87 Starion/Conquest. Or for a 2nd gen look, maybe even throw some 77 TA SE, 81 Z28, or heck, 81 280ZX in there too.

Jawz,

Please email me the UN-photoshopped pic you put the hatch on in this thread.

The one I am looking for is the quartering view from the rear.

Thanks a million!

This is going to be blasphemy for this thread, but after looking at the chops, I think t-tops are going to screw up some of the fundamental lines of the car. This car is so amazing I think I can look past the lack of t-tops. Like I said, blasphemy

Hey Jawz, any chance of you changing the color on the side view to bright red? That is the one color that I really want. Thanks in advance.
