Camaro at '07 NAIAS
#46
But, I'll tell you, the first time I saw my first 701/2, split bumper, Z/28, I was COMPLETELY blown away. Wow, was this some kind of an American Ferrari Lusso or something? At the time - and to my 9 year old eyes - the only car which could even hold a candle to it (looks wise), was the '70 'Cuda.
I had the same feeling again in 1982. I felt the Camaro was THE most beautiful car available - and I wasn't alone.
1993 was an utter and complete disappointment for me though.

I was so disappointed in the 4th gen's appearance that I never gave them any attention - until 2002 when I took one for a drive.
I went to the dealership actually looking at another car(a used Vette). While I was waiting for them to show me a different car, I decided that I'd drive the Camaro just to see what the new ones were like.
I putted around the block for a few minutes. I was just wasting time. About a half mile from the dealership on my way back, something told me to put the pedal to the metal. That LS1 roared, the front end lifted up and I was shoved back into the seat. The torque and accelleration seemed to last forever. I immediately turned the car around and drove it some more...this time getting into it as often as I could.
By the time I got back to the dealership, I had decided to buy the Camaro. I was sold. I didn't even drive the other car. The looks grew on me, and I began to find the love and sexyness in the 4th gen that I had known in prior generations.
