Camaro, Challenger and Mustang
Does anyone have links to articles comparing the 2008/9 camaro, mustang and challenger? Ive tried to find some on the net but havent really been successful. Thanks

Comparing "what"?? We can compare their looks all day long, but looks are subjective anyways . I'm not sure about the Challenger at this point, but as far as the Camaro, there are no concrete "facts" about anything except for it will be V8 powered, RWD, with IRS, built on the Zeta chassis, and ?????

Search...
Like Capn Pete said, we really don't know much of the real nitty gritty. However, there are some cool things like Car and Driver (I believe) raced a theoretical Camaro and Mustang. Just look around...

The Camaro & Challenger concepts are not real 2009 cars, and no one has posted pictures or articles of an actual 2009 Mustang, and most certainly haven't done any performance or handling test.
Camaro & Challenger were for display purposes only! Sure, they actually start up, and they actually can be driven. But the Challenger was actually made by MetalCrafters, a place in LA near where I used to live. They specialize in making showcars. The Camaro was created via GM's design studio, also specializing in show cars. Both were based on ideas that were meant to test public reaction, and to garner management support for the real vehicles.
If you are looking for some comparison test, you're going to have to wait till the real versions of all 3 are out. About a year from now for the Challenger, year after next for Camaro, and the reskinned Mustang the following year (although the new Boss engine will be in Mustang before then).

Im sorry, I shouldnt have been so vague. What i meant to ask was, do you know if theres any articles based on these cars period. For example, Ive read an article before that compared the new muscle cars and talked about what kind of engines we could possibly expect for each as well as what kind of sub models (boss 351, r/t) we may be seeing. I also saw the car and driver virtual road test, and Im not looking for nitty gritty comparisons because i know thats impossible. Im just looking for an article talking about all three and some broad topics about them such as their proposed engines.

Quoted from the "Specs" thread...
Because you've been warned to suit up, I'll keep it civil.
First off, there ARE NO SPECS!!!.
Secondly, there is NO PRICING!!!
Finally, there is NO OPTION LIST!!!
The Camaro IS NOT being produced yet.
It IS NOT for sale.
There are NO brochures.
It's still under development, it's still 2 YEARS away from any start of production or any start of sales.
We can GUESS, and we can ASSUME, but until the car is about to go down the assembly line, asking for pricing and options is pretty much an act of futility.
The Challenger & Skyline will be out in a just year. The Enclave within 8 months, . We don't know the final specs, options, or pricing on any of those, yet you're asking about a car 2 years down the road???

Abidar, I understand that. I understand there wont be any actual option lists or anything like that, but I do recall an article somewhere about the 'modern muscle cars' with estimations of what we may find under the hoods in a few years. Im not looking for concrete facts, but rather educated guesses. Im sorry if what Im asking is hard to understand, Ill try to be more clear.

LOL, sorry for being an ***.
As I recall, I think there may be an article like this...

EDIT:
I don't think this is it, but it's cool none the less:

Mustang's shaping up to be the lightest of the group, so don't place too much on engine size just yet. Challenger seems like it's going to be in a class of it's own, sharing only heritage (or retro) image with the other 2, since it will in effect be a full sized coupe, not a pony car.
Still, it's all just speculation and relatively worthless guessing till the cars get near production.
