Re: Camaro Commercial.............

That is too cool not to be on the front page of this site...so I put it there! I think we can easily see ourselves (or future selves) or someone we know in the characters. I know I can!

Re: Camaro Commercial.............

That is a lot better than the garbage that is the "Ms. Ellen" commercial.

A lot of people liked the Ms. Ellen commercial. I didn't think it was bad at all. What was so terrible about it?

Re: Camaro Commercial.............

For the first Camaro commercial I wanted to see something with some some sort of emotional impact. Like I have said before something like the Corvette "Still building rockets" commercial would have done the job. The Camaro commercial had two dorks narrating a Camaro navigating through a bunch of illogical situations. It would have been a okay commercial somewhere down the line but but it did not fill the requirements for the Camaros superbowl debut commercial. The Volt commercial they made at the same time was better.

Re: Camaro Commercial.............

I loved the Miss Ellen commercial, its was a nice touch, rarely do I see car commercials that try to put a sexy touch.

This commercial however, was a little weird to me, I think I just don't get it. Maybe it applys to its target audience much better. Or maybe I'm still too young and that's why I like the Miss Ellen commercial a lot.

Maybe their target demographic for that ad was dorks?

Oh wait...I liked it...

I like it. The only pet peeve I have is that you can clearly see the tire marks on the street showing that it took several takes to get it right. This goes for any commercial. It just makes it less real to me. I like the concept of it though. Always young at heart.

No steering column shifter on the Camaro, looks like he is shifting into drive like I would in my truck.

Or they've been on a lot of dates.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I THINK you could get a column shifter in the 1st Gen (67-69)?

Maybe that is the point and the dude is just that ancient?

Pretty sure they were just trying to make a commercial and make some coin and just did the generic putting the car in gear that everyone has probably done before, kind of like air guitar. Luckily the Camaro doesn't have push start yet or that would have been 2 strikes against them. If they wanted to make the commercial better they should have had him air shifting a manual
