I searched the dealers around me and only 1 seems to have one listed in stock: a red 1LT coupe with Auto. Funny they dont list a price though, I wonder what the markup is

I worked for Saturn when the Sky came out and I feel for the dealers that have to deal with the tire kickers and dreamers who come out of the wood work.

I believe if a car is on a lot now, it is a vehicle that the dealer ordered for themself and something that they may hold onto untill they can build inventory so they have something to show. I remember my dealer kept a red Sky for about 6 months untill we replaced it. That thing got alot of test drives

 

I stopped by one of the local dealers (who I won't buy from because of markups) just to see if they had one. They didn't, so I left. I drove to the smaller dealership fifteen minutes down the road to get some details from them on receiving my car (I'm having them receive my car after buying from out of state). The larger dealer had 9 original allocations and the smaller only had three, so I didn't expect them to have a car if the larger didn't.

Once I drove up, I was met by half a dozen salesmen, one of which was motioning for me to drop the window. He asked if I was there for the new Camaro and I (complete with my Camaro hat on) responded....uh....not exactly....but...........sure. It caught me a little by surprise. I did give me a chance to poke around and look at a few things that I either didn't get to see before or had specific questions about.

This was a silver 2LT/RS A6. Someone fired up the remote start as they pulled the car cover off, which was a nice touch. Too bad it wasn't a V8. Since I've only sat in an LS, I got a chance to check out the leather, power seats, and ambient lighting which, after seeing it in person I think is going to be just right regarding brightness. You can't really see it at all during the day, but at night it should be just right.

My wife said I looked like it was Christmas....and I've seen and been in and out of the car several times at different places. I guess it's just knowing that one will be in the garage in a couple of months.

 

dealer by me had there unveiling yesterday. it was a IOM full loaded SS with CG stripe. sat in it, felt real good.

 

My local dealer got a red 2LT RS and a silver 2SS RS today and I have to say the SS is so much nicer!

 

IOM ss2 w/rs IOM interior , polished wheels at spitzer chevy in canton. oh yeah , black racing stripes. dont kow if its auto or manual. no sunroof. amazing!

 

How so? Other then engine and front bumper they are the same car inside.

 

I live not too far away.
