Re: Camaro on verge of revival
I just want the car to be built at a place it will not go away again for along time and a plant that builds the best car and both Canada and the US are losing to many jobs now. There is more to building the car than where it is put together and it will save jobs in alot of supply companies. We all have been driving 4th gens built there for many years now. Its a win win either way for us we get our car back and alot of people keep a good job. I have many friends that work in Canada and here in the US and I like to see all of them keep a job

Re: Camaro on verge of revival
Please be be before 2010. I plan on buying the fastest model (z/28, SS, ZL-1) they put out and that means it would not happen until 2011 or 2012. If the Challenger makes it out earlier with their SRT8 version, GM loses a sale from me. When the designers are stating they made a production ready concept, there is no excuse for a 3-4 year wait to bring it to production. I know they need to ramp up, but they do not need to drag their feet. How many Mustangs will be sold over the next 3-4 years?
Side note - I would not be caught dead in a Mustang

Re: Camaro on verge of revival
I would really like for the car to be built in the US but my main priority is to get it out ASAP. I would like to buy an '09 model but I was thinking about it and if all of the rumors are true then the car really needs to come out in '08 for me. That way the high performance model and the convertible will both be available for me to choose from. I don't really want a midrange coupe.
P.S. I do love my Canadian built Camaro I just would prefer it to be built in the states for a few reasons.

On the other hand, if it were built in Canada, it would have to meet or exceed Canada's safety standards meaning we won't be stuck with the same situation we had with the GTO. Even though it may not have done much for the poor goat, the Canadian market does have an impact on the auto industry.
