should I post the names of those who said "It's dead" or "It won't be back" or "GM will mess it up and it'll be FWD" ?????

Yea, well don't get too cocky...

understanding the reason why......

~6 years without a Camaro is still unacceptable.

Resentment runs deep!

It was a great feeling when my dealer confirmed the car was being ordered and scheduled for production. They said if there were any changes to the order they had to be made quick. That made my week last week.

Hey all.....new here. Just had a question maybe someone could help me out with. So I called my dealer today and they said they are allotted 8 Camaros in May after the unveiling. I'm number 18 on the list. Does this mean they will all be pre-orders making me number 10 after May? He then said they are alotted 5 in June and 5 or 6 in July. Does this mean mine will get here around July or so? Thanks for the help......

None of which makes sense.... He got 8 cars through september 2009....He sold 10 over that, so "technically" those would come in AFTER September 2009....OR he got 18 through September, and you will be the last sold order submitted.

BUT - I am getting al kinds of signals that 15,000 or so pre-orders will be done ahead of schedule.

We don't get any more allotments through September (like the 5 here and there mentioned...) We get a TOTAL allotment through September, that's it. Either they don't have a clue what's going on, or they are playing games.

That's good news......what is the difference between a pre-order and just an order? I just assumed if you ordered the car before it was released it was a pre-order. For people that ordered in March after the production date started......is that still considered a pre-order?

how did you hear they are ahead of schedule? and if so then when are we looking at the cars (15k preorders) being done? i think its kinda messed up how, no matter when you placed the order, first or last, its kinda thrown into a big mixing pot and randomly picked. i was there on the first day of orders placed, and probably one of the first 3k placed, and theres guys that placed orders this year that got drawn before me. im just pissed.

Camaro Launch Date

My local dealer siad the launch date for the camaro is april 14th. Dealers should have one on display then. It will still be GM property and not forsale till GM releases it to the dealer. I live about 5 miles from the auto railyard and haven't seen any show up there yet. Should be anyday now though
