Can't wait - I will be there. Maybe even a good excuse to grab some lodging downtown and dinner at Roast Friday.

Anyone got any XXL or XXXL Camaro shirts?

Hotel recommendations anyone?

What are the top three Hotels within walking distance to the Convention Center? I noticed what looked like a monorail system of some sort. Does that connect to any of these Hotels?

Thanks for the help

There is the Ponchetrain right across the street. The hotel at GM RenCen
and a few more. Yes the People mover connects with Cobo Hall.

I've never seen any Camaro clothes for sale in person, and I don't much care for buying clothes online.

Dude...do you not go to car shows? They sell Camaro stuff EVERYWHERE at car shows. Hell, even Walmart and Kmart sell Camaro shirts.

I'll bring you a nice Polo shirt. White, will match any slacks you wear.

I checked on that too. The web site stated that the window will be open at 8am. I guess that's good enough.

I got my long sleeve 1st/5th gen t-shirt at Kmart a while back. Worth a try.

Maybe Jason D can shed some light on this. His post says 7:45 sharp, unless that is to give us time to get our tickets and then go in at 8.

Unless someone in the area can pick up tickets in advance for some of us.

Cobo is open early, but the ticket window doesn't open until 8am.

Jason and Chris, Do I have to buy the tickets from you. Also are there still spots or is this event just a show up to? Thanks

Good eye, I cleared that up in the first post a bit.

Right, we will meet at the big Joe Louis statue at 7:45, then as a group to and get our tickets and then again as a group line up at the doors.

It is important that we do this as a group only because it will be the first day of the public show which will be pretty busy and a tough chaotic so we don't want to lose anyone or enmter late and have to fight the mob to get to the car, which will surely be surrounded.

Nope, we will all buy tickets when the ticket booth opens at 8:00 am. There is no limit to how many can be a part of this, see you at 7:45!

Hope this clears things up, post here if you have any more questions!
