Challenger vs Camaro

Re: Challenger vs Camaro
Now we can see the two cars side by side. I hope this isn't a repost.
I love the Camaro's overall look but I think the interior is craptastic. I hate the retro guages and arcade style gear shift lever.

Re: Challenger vs Camaro
I seen this pole on all sorts of boards. On the SRT forums the challenger comes in 1st, the Camaro 2nd and the GT500 3rd. On the Mustang Forums the Camaro comes in last, and here the mustang would undoubtedly come in last.

Re: Challenger vs Camaro
Camaro, hands down. As they sit, I prefer the Challenger dash a bit, but only because the Camaro is more "concept car-ized". That is, the guages are too glitzy to be read easily, and the stereo/hvac controls are a little too show-car-ish. I like the overall shape of the dash quite a bit though, and more and more so each time I look at it I think. Camaro looks better on the outside, and isn't as big as a small RV to boot. It looks to the past and the future, not just the past.
In fact, I'd take the GT500 over the Challenger as well. I'm not nuts about the double fish-mouth grilles (should have used the normal GT front end but with the Cobra emblem), but I can't see the grille from the inside...
I rank them like this:
1) Camaro (no sh** Sherlock! I might be a bit biased...)
2) Mustang GT500
3) Challenger
People always said the 4th gens were too big (and they are a little on the big side). I don't need a sports coupe that is bigger than a 300C, however cool it looks...

Re: Challenger vs Camaro
The challenger has a more classic muscle car look hands down. The older crowd will find appeal there.
The Camaro is more Modern-retro. Hints of the past but some looks of the future. But these cars are both concepts and who knows what the final product will look like.
But everyone is missing the big picture...The point is not which one looks better...... but that we are having conversations (in the year 2006) which in the same sentence contains the names Camaro, Challenger, Mustang, GT500.

And also Mustang owners usually hate Camaro owners (and vice-versa) due to the STRONG competition. So it would be no suprise to me that the Camaro came last on Mustang boards, and the Mustang last here.
Which is funny, because the Mustang and Camaro will more then likely sell circles around the Mopar...

Re: Challenger vs Camaro
Once the Camaro gets a modern dash cluster/gauges and a production reality shifter, its overall interior design/shape kicks the Challengers interior in the ****.
I also perfer the Camaro Exterior myself as its got edges and creases. Course I am biased
