Chevy announces Bumblebee edition

I agree completely. The problem is that its going to look almost exactly like any other rally yellow fifth gen. Kinda loses its luster in that case imo.

Hopefully GM will put out 'exact' images of the finished product for interested consumers so that they know what they are buying. When my wife ordered our 2SS (the famous battery cable car) back on Oct 13th there was very little info, and much mis-information, concerning stripe packages. But we were led to believe and assured that the stripes would be 'bumblebee' style, gloss black, extend over the hood/spoiler, etc. and turned out to be none of the above. By the time the current camaro site was available, depicting the actual stripes, it was too late to change our pre-order.
I'm not knocking the factory stripes, simply that they were not what I would have purchased had I known up front. Lucky for me, a stripe tore during dealer application which gave me the opportunity to decline a second attempt and have the $470 cost deducted prior to finalizing the purchase. The difference was applied toward a custom paint job that is currently underway as I'm typing this reply .

I agree with you to 69camero327 and RBSS. I like the idea. While the 470.00 isn't chump change, if I don't like the look of the stripes I will be looking into a painted scheme. However I am getting a cyber grey with black rally stripes. I feel they will look fine. Especially the darker stripe on dark paint. With the midnight silver RS wheels it fits the sinister stealth scheme I'm lovin!

This is as dumb as the Phillies/Mets edition cars. What is GM trying to do, turn the Camaro into the Mustang or Miata with all these special editions. I didn't read anything about making it look like the new movie car. At the very least offer the right color instead of the same yellow that comes on the regular version. I am all for them selling as many cars as possible, and understand that this may help, but it yet again seems as if GM took the easy way out.
I agree.. but it works for Mustang

I agree with you! Seriously the more amount of limited editon Camaros the more unique everyones will be. Sure we'll be like,"Man that blows, just when I got a so an so Camaro they release this new one.", but it's still awesome to think about it the different renditions that this can go. And think about it, when you go to a car show or a camaro gathering what do you think would be better, seeing 25 2010 Camaros that are the same RS & SS styles and options or 10 regular Camaros and 15 different editions like BumbleBees, Dale Earnharts, Saleens, Fessler Moss's, Hennessey's, Tom Henry's, LS9's, KONI's and such? That's what makes cars so awesome!!!
