CHEVY Get this thing out ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I have been tossing around a New Camaro or just getting a Out of Warranty 02 SS to play around with. Couldn't decide which one to get... Until now...
Taking a short trip through town I saw a Daytona R/T Charger. And OMG it was Freaking Awesome!!! I was skeptical about the Chargers at first, but this thing just Screams MUSCLE. The guy just took off the line slow, but either he had an aftermarket exhaust, or the factory exhaust just has a nice rumble. This thing made my Palms Sweat and my Blood Boil... WOW
Forget the 4th gen, I want something that Screams MUSCLE just like the Camaro Concept.
I look forward to the time I can pull up next to a Dodge Charger, Challenger, or Mustang in my New 08 Z28 Camaro. My god I know ALL EYES will be on these two cars as bystandards anticipate what will happen when the lights turn green... Any American man even an import lover could not help but crack a slight smile at that sight and say... awesome...
Chevy, I know your working as fast and hard as you can and you have my support. But please, PLEASE do your damn best and get this out. Nothing like American Muscle to get the Heart Pounding....

I am likely selling my 01 z28 to carmax next week to buy a Black Charger RT with R&T group, sunroof, electronic conv group, and sirius radio. Seat warmers, kick *** seats and all! The problem is, if I do that the camaro is not in my future for at least 5 years.

There is a guy who works in our building at work who has a Daytona R/T Orange and Black he drives once in a while. Its pretty nice. I liked the classic paint scheme and spoiler. I have yet to see SRT8 in person though I want to.

If it meant getting it right, I'd tell chevy to wait another year. Not much longer than that, but last thing we need is a camaro to be underperforming or have design issues that could have been solved with some more devolopment. Plus, in another year maybe gas prices will stabilize, and people will be more willing to buy a big V-8 car. Wishful thinking maybe, but overall i just say get the Camaro right. I have faith in Scott and the rest of GM to do so.

Careful there Chrome383Z. My sister narrowly avoided getting a Charger R/T with the competition package not too long ago after driving one, and I almost got sucked up in one.
I'm still pretty mixed about talking her out of it. Salesman smoked the tires for her, and took her on a real test drive. She gushed about the car for quite awhile afterwards (she currently owns a 4th gen Camaro). She got the dealer down to about $27,000 (had a sticker of over $32K!), and I pointed out that she could always use the money for something else (was going to use the appriciation on the home to essentially get the car for nothing).
She wanted me to also test drive the car, and when I went down to Arizona last month, and saw the car, I almost did (Black inside and out, special seats, rear spoiler, revised speed govorner, sunroof, HUGE wheels and tires).
But I was afraid that if I did, I'D end up buying the thing!

Base model Chargers are interesting looking 4 doors but the SRT-8's and R/T's are really standouts. They really do look muscular. A guy at work has a black v8 charger that he just keeps doing modifications to, whether it be cosmetic or engine. He just added an SRT-8 like hood with a huge scoop and the thing really does badass for a 4 door.
No matter what brand you like, I think theres no doubt that Chrysler by far has the most interesting lineup of ANY BRAND out there (excluding the exotics)
