SS Cobalt, IMO, surely does not dilute the SS name. That is a fast little pocket rocket, and appears to be quite nicely made. AS OPPOSED to that stellar little time bomb, the Z24 Cavalier, now there is a worthy Z car

LOL man, it's cool. The whole point of this thread is nothing more than a little mid day, friendly pissing match. It is not really about the SS line-up, more about the SS is king versus the Z28 is king Camaro camps. FWIW, I think the 1970 LS-6 Chevelle is one of the penultimate muscle cars ever built!

Sorry buddy but we are all being sarcastic.....

you probably have to stop in here pretty regularly to pick up on it....

We have had a big Z28 vs SS as top Camaro debate over the past few years in here.

go back and read the first post again and you'll prob get what HOTCIVIC is getting at...

ok off to class!

You mean the Front wheel drive Impy SS that is a drivers race away from beating a R/T Charger with the vaunted hemi? Try again!

Re: Chevy would be wise...

If you really wanna go there, no Z28 was ever a V6. There were V6 SS Impala's and Nova's in the begining LOL. How about 4 door Chevelle SS's? What about todays FWD V6 SS's? Are all those 8MPG 14sec 396 SS Camaros (not the L78, which was rare) still impressive today? I'll tell you what is though, a 302 with more HP that uses the last 3/4's of the tach up and was the best handling/braking musclecar of it's time. (much like IROC-Z's, ironically they did real nice in the later Players Challenge series too) Also, those LS6 cars only got low 13's.

IIRC, the Z28 still has the best record for wins in a season in Trans Am, and there was also a pretty known Z28 that did some good stuff in drag racing too.

Yes it was sarcasm - but it's all good!

Those Impy's go pretty good (low low 14s). If they could just switch it to RWD it would be perfect.

The one SS I don't care too much for though is the Malibu wagon one. That's pretty ridiculous.

Re: Chevy would be wise...

If they build the SS with an LS7 and the Z28 is mid level.....my title and the emblems on the side of my car wont agree about 5 minutes after delivery
