Chevy's new Volt concept's headlights on Camaro
#31
I took this grill off a 1969 Camaro pic I had. I'm not a very big fan of it... I don't think I like it.
Any other ideas? I tried shortening the bumper to comply with my 4th gen tastes (and lack of taste for brick shaped cars) but it didn't look very good. The front end of the Camaro concept is just about the exact size it needs to be to look awesome.

Lost the lower slots, cut the bottom of the bumper off, gave the front end a more 4th gen feel.
Added black front spoiler, dropped it about 1.5-2", colored the headlights in a real world hue, made 'er yeller, and got rid of those hideous fog lamps.

You rule! Thanks for rechopping my original chop! Looks great! That's more like what I want my 5th gen to look like. Less brick and more quick!

I know. It's quite odd that once you start fooling around with this car in Photoshop, you really start to see the design cues from ALL the different generations in the car. these headlights definetly make it a dead ringer for a direct 3rd gen descendant.

I gotta give some credit to those stripes on the car though. Everytime I look at these photochops I shake my head in amazement that those headlights and stripes look so good on the car. Can you imagine how empty his yellow photochop or my orange one would look without the stripes? Those are going to have to be at the top of my options list when ordering my new Camaro! They just "MAKE" the car.

It looks more generic in the above pic.
And, to be honest, I like the concepts fog lamps MUCH better than these.

You know, I'm not a fan of photochops. But the more I look at this, the more I really like it.

How about a wiremesh grill? Might look good as a "LT" model.

I think I'm really starting to dig the YELLOW chop above ^ ^ .
Good job, Pickard!!
Definitely has more of a "real car" look (light color) vs. "rendering" appearance, and I like what you did with the Bowtie ... looks like what's on the back of the 4th-gens!

I'm gonna have to break ranks here and say that while I like the Volt, and the headlights on the Volt; I don't like the Volt's headlights on the 5th Gen Camaro. The quality of your photo chop is good, though.
