Re: CJMATT did see the new camaro!!!
I think the obvious answer is that its riding on a GTO chassis. We know the F5 will be related closely to the outgoing Monaro chassis anyway..what is that called, "VE"?
You guys are over-thinking it. Ockham's Razor applies here.

I have to back-pedal on my previoius comment no it not being the GTO chassis.
It just seems like a ton of work to duplicate the body and interior like that.
If we were hearing more info about the car other then our 'resource' I wouldn't be so hesitant to agree
GM could have easily supplied those parts to Saleen for the movie...

Yeah but the gold car has GTO gauges under an F5 bezel....there's no evidence its built on a 3rd gen. However there is visual evidence via the gauges there's at least some GTO in there. Considering the Silver car probably has a mostly GTO front subframe, its not a stretch at all to think the gold one is GTO or GTO/CTS underneath too.

I don't think it means there's a secret factory stamping out 5th gen sheetmetal yet, though...as some have suggested by saying the Gold car means the 5th gen is done and ready.

crap that's huge.. but cool.. our first look at what the robot versions of the transformers will look like.. pretty cool.. the only thing i can identify from the camaro concept is the engine as it's chest, or back.. or whatever we're looking at

Although the current GTO and the Concept Camaro both have a 110" wheelbase, I'm saying the body and interior came from GM, but nobody is talking...
Just an assumption on my part

That's pretty much what I meant. The exterior and interior were 'real' but fit onto a GTO. We can hope.
