You see an unfinished product and then say the car looks like ***. Gee, I wonder why GM would care...

 

That right there is what the fuss is about. It's not ready for prime time, that pic is (from what I've seen mentioned here) not only old, but is a frankenstein hodge-podge of different ideas. Almost every car design goes through this and winds up looking better and better through the process as certain ideas are rejected or incorporated.

I'd reserve judgement until after pics from NAIAS are posted. From there, blast away, I think it's fair game at that point.

 

My imagination can't stretch that far...I can see a little CTS influence, but...
Pre-formed opinions of an obviously "Old" and "primative" stage of development, could hurt the acceptance of the finished concept. Even the concept we'll see, is just a "concept"...the feedback gathered from weeks or months of showing will make its way into the "finished product"...
So don't be too hard and judgemental, or especially emotional, yet.

 

let me just say this one more time....it's a clay mock-up. no wheres near a fuinished product. the fuss is because an old picture of an unfinished product was illegally posted online and people, like yourself, are basing opinions on something GM didn't want anyone to see.

think about it like this, would you want a girl your trying to hook up with seeing a 5 year old picture of you weighing 300 pounds and covered in acne.........................didn't think so.

That was drawn by Kris H, a member of this board. He is a very talented kid, but does not work for GM or have anything to do with the 5th gen, His pictures were in Hotrod Mag over a year ago.

God I wish that concept would go away. I really don't like it at all. Good thing the real deal won't look anything like that.
