Thank God, Someone who knows what they are talking about. It never ceases to amaze me how people become instant authorities on a subject just because they've seen a few pictures.

Thanks, but I'm only an "authority" because I’ve spent way too much time in this forum over the past 5 years.

I’m going to type up a “Newbie Guide” to this forum before the concepts debut to clear up any simple know facts around here so hopefully we get less threads like this posting false info from over a year ago.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I used to be a regular on here up until a year or two ago when I went on hiatus myself so I'm used to the typical BS from people who don't always think before they speak ( to say it nicely ) LOL

Actually I believe Kris Horton's concept was in Popular Hot Rodding, not Hot Rod.

Indeed it was. PHR is always good for making up BS stories ... The publishers over there need a good swift kick in the pants.

OMG NO THAT IS THE REAL ONE!! My friend said that knows a guy said that he is roomates with a neighbor that said that the orange one is the car, but it will use a twin turbine engine and eleventy speed automatic, with 4 reverse gears!! He sent me pictures months ago, and said it was in some magazine, so you know its GOTTA be true!!!

I realized that since this thread wasnt locked, that this person posted up one of the million and a half "wrong" pictures of the "real" one.

Whatever the phony car is, Ford is already kicking everyones *** with the new mustang. Too bad GM has it's thumb up their *** for so long. "Now" their trying to catch up.

By the time GM figures out what the hell they're doing it'll probably be too late and oil will have run out.

If only people would actually READ the "stickies" at the top!

You know what this forum needs, a sticky thread that you MUST read before continuing into the forum. You know, like an agreement where you must click "Yes, I have read the terms and conditions of use and agree to follow them" .

I think it's funny how everyone but the owners is getting ticked on not reading the stickies. This is why your not moderators and just wannabees.

Did you have any constructive purpose by posting here? If you think the Mustang is the way to go.......I feel for you. Pretty sad my 94Z dumps them without an issue. They had 11 years from when my car was built, and still can't figure it out. But that just my opinion, so, w/e. If you were looking to start an argument by supporting Ford here, it wont happen. Many, many F-body owners have Mustangs as well. I may be joining with an 01 GT sooner or later. Not for speed, because thats a waste of my time. But for a daily driver.

I agree, GM is late to the party. I disagree that they are trying to catch up. I think the Camaro is further along than we realize(most likely wishful thinking, don't burst my bubble), and being as the Mustang is already out, they should be able to surpass it without to much effort.

In conclusion....if you don't have anything constructive to add, don't waste the bandwidth. So far all the comments I've seen from you have been pissing and whining. And as for wannabe mods? The stickies are there to keep dumb posts like this one off the board. Congrats, you've made a complete *** of yourself.

Nah, I'm not a mod wannabe . I just agree with many of the other members of this board that it seems like a waste of time having to answer the same dumb questions over and over again. It actually seems funny on one hand ..... your original question was hardly any different than asking "did you guys know they stopped building the Camaro? " I mean, you're several months ... perhaps even years late for this party already! And the thing is, all it takes is reading a little further back than Page 1 of this forum, and you can start to find accurate information that'll answer all your questions, and you wouldn't have to post such a useless thread (that's been beat to death over and over and over again ).

The thing is, it's not like we don't want to answer your question ... I *personally* think it's better that we DO answer it, and make sure that you have accurate information (so you don't start showing that picture to all your buddies and telling them that's the new Camaro, when we all know, it's not). I think everyone here is very passionate about F-bodies, and the return of the Camaro, and I think the more people that see and hear about the new Camaro, the better, but it's just best to make sure you're looking at the right car first and know what you're talking about .

that last paragraph really sums up what we should be getting used to doing in the next several weeks.

and on a side note......that first paragraph qualifies you for a membership in the Newbie Execution Squad.......please add to sig now.

You know, there actually IS something like that for vBulletin. Maybe talking to Chris and Jason could bring about that hack to be integrated into this forum.
