Could the 6th Gen Camaro Be Based Off the 2nd Gen?
FRONT PAGE NEWS
Some are saying that it is not too early to start talking about what the 6th generation Camaro could be and look like. If the 5th generation Camaro was inspired by the 1st generation, does that mean that the 6th generation could be inspired by the the 2nd? This image was provided to us by a very talented graphic artist in Brazil named Du Oliveira (web site). We think that in a fantasy world, this wouldn't look bad at all and is one of the better multi-generation Camaro splices we have seen in a while. What do you think?

Not a fan. They are going too retro with this design. I like the modern interpretation of the Camaro look that the 5th gen has. There are enough styling cues to represent the history, without looking overdone.

2nd gens are ugly and so is that! Why does it have to be retro? Doesnt GM employ any designers that can create something new instead of recreating whats already been built?!

Re: Could the 6th Gen Camaro Be Based Off the 2nd Gen?
That rendering is WAY better than any new design that a current designer could come up with.
GMs styling studios were on FIRE from the early '60s (and probably actually from the late 50s) to the early '70s. They were turning out the best looking cars from that era. And I'm pretty sure that their designs were considered by design experts to be some of the best from any manufacturer from any time.
So why not lean on those designs? They're great.
Otherwise, we get Asian looking garbage, supercar looking stuff (which Camaros are not & should never be), bland sedans, something that looks like what an 8th grader doodles in study hal, or a combination of thesel. No thanks to all those. I'll take what's at the top of this thread over what we're seeing for new designs any day.

At first I didn't like it, and I'm a 2nd gen owner. Then I kept looking and looking at it. I like it, even though it takes it a little bit far, making it look a little too similar to the current dodge/chrysler look in the nose.

The design itself is nice...
is this what the 6th gen should look like? no in my book....
evolution of this current design but more modern... that's what I am hoping.
