Could the next K.I.T.T be a Camaro?

As for Miami Vice...those numbers are pretty sad when compared to Dukes of Hazzard.
Transformers outsold both combined, multiplied by two..and then some.
63 mil + 80 mil 143mill.
143x2= 286mil
Transformers 313mil.

Wasn't it in a Dodge Stealth? I know KITT was transplanted into the 57 at the end of the movie, but I have a hard time remembering if it was a Stealth or that trippy late 80s Camaro Concept that it was in for the majority of the movie.

Transformers was a animated show that was ever evolving so it is not even in the same class.
Miami Vice, Dukes and the just recent Bionic Woman just did not get it done.
To many Movies today rely on too many special effects and cheap gags.
Needham even said today many of the car chases are pis poor due to computers.
It would be best to find product placment in a new original TV show or movie using the Camaro and create a new classic.
How many original shows created classic long remembered cars?
Mannix [Dodge]
Rockford [Firebird/GMC]
Magnum [Ferrari, Audi, Blazer]
Cannon/Geen Acres [Lincoln]
Dukes [Charger]
Munsters [Street rod]
Geen Hornet Imperial custom
Batman [Lincoln show car]
Miami Vice[ Ferrari fake and real]
Chips Chevy truck and Ponch's TA/Formula cross breed]
Fall Guy Chevy Truck, A team [Chevy Van]
Get Smart [Sunbeam]
Andy Griffith [Ford Squad car]
Dragnet [Fairlane]
Adam 12 AMC/Dodge
Simon & SImon Z/28 targa/Dodge Power wagon
Starsky and Hutch Ford
I dream of Jennie/My Three Sons Pontiac's
Bewitched [Chevys]
DId I miss any?
All these were originial and are remember today.
Remakes are like recopying a copy over and it is just never as good. A good original is a best remembered classic.

I think they resurected that show enough times as it is....maybe try the big screen but not a TV series.....if they do either and the concept is involved, the air inlet would be a perfect spot for the strobing light. LOL

It was a stealth that was modeled after the banshee concept. The reason they didn't use a trans am was because the movie was made in 1991 but set in 2000 so the 91 third gen looked too much like the original kitt. It wasn't futuristic enough and GM wanted nothing to do with the movie so the Hoff couldn't get the banshee or the rights to use an exact replica.
I think the only way KITT should be a GM is if the T/A comes back with a completely new design (which won't happen) or if they use a vette. The camaro just wouldn't look right.

To be honest, I really cant see a Camaro as KITT. I wonder what the possibilities maybe for the new KITT. BTW, I think I read Somewhere of a 2011 Firebird, but its not real and its a photoshop of the Camaro. It looks really nice. Well, i guess we have to wait and see what the future holds for Knight Rider. OH, remember the "Team Knight Rider" crap in the late 90's. WORST SHOW EVER. HAHAAHA

Aside from the '06 Camaro Concept the '89 Banshee concept is the hottest looking car I've ever seen (Ok, the California Camaro concept wasn't too far off either.)
