My 82 TA is slowly turning into kitt.

I'm not sure what I'd think about the show. Trans Am is the only car I can see as kitt.

I also seem to remember the banshee styled car used in the movie was done on a ford probe.

 

Only reason I would watch it. I don't sport it for me... I sport it for the scene. Ebay has earned a lot of $$$ from me and my fetish for Members Only jackets. It's only not in fashion of you don't sport it.

 

It was done on a Dodge Stealth actually.

 

I agree - KITT says TRANS AM. But since we're not getting a Trans Am I think a Camaro would work very well. The only other car on the road that would work would be a Vette and I think that's a little too flashy and expensive for someone who's supposed to be a little more low key. How can Mr. Knight blend in with lower-level criminal thugs if he's driving a Vette or some other exotic? And if they make KITT a Mustang, I'm gone!

 

OK I just looked it up KITT in the movie Knight rider 2000 was transfered in to a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air.

But in the end of the show is put in the Knight Rider 4000 which is the Bansee Concept car.

My god that car is gorgeous (to me anyway).

I think I loved the 4th Gen F-Body's so much because they took styling cues from the Banshee.

I'd just change the Banshee's overhang lengths.

Yeah - the Banshee was a classic for sure! Since the Trans Am name is dead, I think Banshee should be the follow-up. A car that cool would be nice, too They just need to make a 1:18 die-cast of that car!

 

Does GM or SLP own the name Firehawk? Seems that would be the natural successor to the T/A if GM owns it.

ShellHead I agree they should bring back the Banshee die casts and make different sizes. I do however have a 1:64 Banshee in my collection I'll get a picture of it later and post it if anybody wants to see it.

 

I think Firestone owns it.

 

Yeah - I've got two of those 1:64 scale ones - one is a reflective gold, the other is the concept's red and black. I actually got a 1:24 (I think) Rageous a few years ago and I'm still surprised they never did the Banshee.

 

I was 11 when that show came on, and i loved it, and the third gen Firebird is still gorgeous, but the show is rediculed now. I hope it's not a Camaro.
