I believe the trunk opening will need to be bigger. Need to make it so we don't have those huge hinges impinging on interior space too! Maybe some hydrualic struts. Also need to make accomidations for lower lift over.

The picture of the Camaro trunk above looks like that could actually be possible.
I really don't think we'll see anything but a trunk though. The folks who know say it's not going to happen. A trunk lends itself to structural rigidity and is lighter...probably less expensive as well. I just hope the opeining is bigger than the previous mustang. Fold down rear seats are needed as well.

Anybody have access to that site for the hi-res versions of those images?
And on springs vs. struts, I want struts. If Honda can afford to put them on the Civic, Chevy can put them on the Camaro. The springs waste trunk space, and most importantly, make it harder for me to integrate a nice stereo installation.

We can't let this be a "motor in a box" again it was a major reason the 4th gen died.

Even the trunk supports are retro. But really:
I like the 3rd/1st Gen mixed steering wheel, but does anyone else notice just how IROC-Z that bumper would be without the round lights and if that grill didn't go all the way across? Look at how the lower grill on the driver side is angled up like an IROC also and how the passenger is angled down, (more like the GTO) which is what made it to the concept we saw though. Doing that to the grill would make for a nice bumper change on certain models.
