I have heard that you can order Custom Colors but there is a hitch.

The dealer must order a minimum of 6, they must be of a color offered by GM, and they must all be ordered identical.

Is this true?

If so, I'd like to order the following:

Aqua Blue Metallic
2SS RS
6 Speed Manual
Gray Interior
Sunroof
Polished Wheels
Silver Strips (Optional as they can be added later or painted)

Anyone else interested in this setup if it can be had?

 

you didnt say what color for the car..... i dont think thats true. i havent heard of anything like that.

You can have any colour under the sun on your car. The catch comes with finding a reputable paint shop that will do a quality job, once you've purchased your car. Sorry guy, but it's not really in the realm of possibility anymore to have that done from the factory unless you're buying a Ferrari with over 1000 shades of red.

 

That was actually my original 1st choice, minus the sunroof. There are a few ABM 2SS RS Camaros still out there that haven't been sold.

 

So true but not the same as a factory paint job as far as durability!! As for what I am trying to do . . . it can be done and hopes are that I can get a 2011 in that color with a few extra goodies! I just need to follow GM rules to get it. BTW, I could theoretically get any color in the GM Color Pallet for 2010/2011.

I have found only one as I have outlined and maybe a few without the sunroof are left. I too had originally want the ABM but when the dealer told me that it had a hint of a green to it I couldn't commit without see it first. That was not an option for me when I order the two I got as very few we on the lots then so when the order went in, I went with Resale Red as I already had 3 other cars that color an knew I couldn't go wrong with it. Once I saw ABM, I knew I'd have to have it!

 

That would be very cool. I have heard this rumor before but haven't heard yet if this was a solid possibility.

 

you can pick any color you want for the new lexus LFA.

 

Does anyone have connections that could help in finding this info out?
