CZ28.com Speical Edition POLL-WHEELS

Ok, you had to know a poll was coming. Not putting the cart before the horse here, but lets have a little fun w/ this. I was just curious to see how impossible it would be to make us all happy w/ a CZ28.com special edition so lets vote on what type of mods we would like on the car. Note that there are several polls covering various areas of potential modifications, so vote in all of them.

JasonD did a great job with the set on his SS.

What would make a better CZ28.com Camaro then wheels designed by one of the owners of the site?

Re: CZ28.com Speical Edition POLL-WHEELS

This one I would leave alone, as I personally would want my car not to look like thousands others (TT2, ZR-1 wheels, anyone?)

If you left it alone, you WOULD look like the thousands of other SS's on the road.

*NOTE* My use of SS is based purely on my hope that the Z/28 will be the top dog. No insider information is expressed or implied .

a nice set of custom 5 spoke rims, either chrome or some sort of silver, I'm not too fond of all black rims

I didn't it make it clear, sorry

I would like wheels of my own choosing. Whatever comes with it will be replaced with an aftermarket.

Re: CZ28.com Speical Edition POLL-WHEELS

If I had to choose between an exhaust system, custom paint, or wheels, I would choose the custom wheels to help distinguish the car from the other 130,000 units that GM will be selling in 2009.

Does anyone remember the 1991 and 1992 Firehawk? They had their own 17 x 9.5 inch wheels from Ronal. They were SO awesome and made us all so jealous! No one could buy them! Then out came the Impala SS with a knockoff of the Ronal and I so wanted that car, mostly for the wheels.

I think a custom wheel can do that to a car and Jason's wheel design is distinctive, light and simple. It's just a little pricey but that's probably nothing that couldn't be cured with some volume manufacturing.

I just had a thought. What if you bent a rim beyond repair, or they got stolen. How do you replace these? Does the manufacturer make extras, or do they just whip out a new one on an as needed basis (hopefully they save the design in a secure place!!)

I vote for custom forged wheels like Jason's.

No black! I want shiny chrome.

Good point. Those original wheels for 96 Grand Sports Corvette are expensive, unless you get a set of knock offs.

I think a custom design to truly "identify" the car would be worth the extra cost .

Re: CZ28.com Speical Edition POLL-WHEELS

i say custom, but i dont think you can go with a black wheel for the mass market.. then again this wont be a mass marketed car.
